1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, clicking "I Agree," or otherwise using our services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the platform without written permission
• Upload fake resumes, fabricate skills, or misrepresent your identity or qualifications
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users via chat or matches
• Use AI-generated outputs for illegal purposes or to discriminate against protected classes
• Import skills or professional data from accounts you do not own
• Post hate speech, pornographic content, spam, or malware
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or circumvent our security measures
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free tiers or manipulate match scores
• Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable federal, state, or local law

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund and potential legal action.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Skill-Linc offers the following subscription plans:

• All plans billed monthly or annually (annual plans receive a 20% discount)
• Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled
• You may cancel at any time via your account dashboard — no refunds for partial months
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
• Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. — subject to Stripe's Terms of Service
• Failed payments may result in service interruption

4. AI Matching Disclaimer

Skill-Linc uses Anthropic's Claude AI for job post generation and skill analysis. AI outputs may contain errors and should be reviewed before use. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

5. Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, code, and branding are owned by Skill-Linc LLC and protected by copyright. You retain ownership of content you upload (resumes, profiles) but grant us a non-exclusive license to process and display it to provide our services. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Skill-Linc LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bergen County, New Jersey. You waive any objection to such jurisdiction and venue.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after notice constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
